Happy 250...fourth?
A day that will...a day... A day.
Greetings fellow Earthlings!
I have returned from the lands of France and Spain to report that they are still there. Being a “Just Do It Now” kind of guy my bucket list doesn’t tend to get very full over time, but I did knock off a batch of items including Versailles, The Caves of Lascaux, Guggenheim Bilbao, seeing the Olympic horse Zeus and canoeing the Dordogne river. Do any of you guys have Bandcamp listener accounts? You don’t really NEED one to listen, but it’s nice because it gives me a path to support musicians and hear about new releases. So-called “streaming” is starving our artists.
Speaking of, we are nearing the end of the promotional cycle for MAYDAY. We raised a bit of money for the ACLU, which I’m fairly proud of. Soon there will be an official announcement with photos with circles and arrows, but you can still contribute. I’m planning to continue giving them proceeds from this album, if any, but I won’t be pushing it since there will be others to tell you about. Music & video links:
Even if you can’t buy please share to your socials, friends, family, via any means. Every little bit means another little bit, and life is made up of little bits! It makes me a bit crazy that so many of my missives end up exhorting you to buy something or contribute in some way, but if I don’t do it no one will, and all my “content” (detestable word) is actually free to consume. Paying for it is optional.
I hope, wherever this finds you, that you enjoy your holiday. It breaks my heart that actual patriotism has become some sort of “us and them” sham pushed upon us by billionaire robber barons to prevent us from eating them. I deeply love our country with all it’s flaws and I hope we can somehow remember that if we don’t hang. together we shall surely hang separately.
